What You’ll Learn

This program explores indigenous and traditional cross-cultural therapeutic techniques and sound/music repertoires used in Western healthcare settings today. An emphasis is placed on transcultural themes and addressing the needs of multi-ethnic client/patient populations.  Students will investigate how sound and music are used as diagnostic tools, healing agents and connectors to spiritual domains and how each of these elements create and construct a dynamic healing session. Each day is conducted through lecture, demonstrations, individual, dyad and group experiences, discussion and audiovisual presentations.
