Catharine DeLong is a certified music-thanatologist in New York City, director of end-of-life services for the You Can Thrive! Foundation, which offers support and music vigils to breast cancer patients and the facilitator for The New York Open Center’s “Integrative Thanatology Certificate Program” as part of their Art of Dying Institute. Through her work, Catharine provides music vigils to end-of-life patients, including the Visiting Nurse Service of New York’s hospice patients in Mount Sinai’s palliative unit, at the Goodman Brown Residence and Bellevue Hospital. Catharine is a graduate of the Chalice of Repose Project and is certified through Music-Thanatology Association International. She is an ordained Interfaith Minister affiliated with the One Spirit Learning Alliance.
