According to yoga tradition, there is the physical body and the subtle body. The subtle, energy body is something you can’t see or touch, but it’s where our energy flows. There are seven key energy points in the subtle body, known as chakras. ⁠

In Sanskrit, chakra means “wheel,” and each of these seven wheels is a vortex of energy. When all of our chakras are open, energy runs through them freely and our body, mind and spirit are in harmony. When they are blocked, we experience mental, physical and emotional imbalances that manifest as anxiety, depression, lethargy and pain⁠
