If you are one of the many people who have lived through active addiction, felt your life spin out of control due to uncertainty or rage, survived cancer, or suffered violence, then you have also experienced trauma. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is not limited to the military—any disruption to the flow of life leads to self-destructive behavior. Yoga therapy addresses feelings that get trapped in the body by incorporating easy breathing techniques and gentle mindful movements that release stored energy trapped within chakras. When combined with easy to follow meditation techniques, we then begin to integrate our body, mind, emotions, and spirit into unity. Yoga therapy also effectively supports other treatment modalities with improved results.
