Learn how to build bone strength, better balance and coordination, and better posture through yoga and Bodymind Ballwork. In this workshop we will practice basic yoga poses that can be adapted for any level of fitness and are proven to improve bone density. We’ll also practice Bodymind Ballwork, a relaxation technique using small rubber balls to relieve chronic tension through self-massage. The Ballwork addresses common postural issues such as kyphosis, a rounding of the upper back. The combination of Ballwork and yoga is a great way to develop an enjoyable and effective personal practice, and avoid or slow the progression of osteoporosis.
