Date & Time
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Get an introduction to, or go deeper into the practices of the Unconditional Model, the healing modality created by Anneke Lucas and applied in the Liberation Prison Yoga training.
The Unconditional Model focuses on being unconditionally present for ourselves, our clients or students, and/or our friends and family, by using awareness of power dynamics as an entrance point into one’s personal unresolved trauma. It is an additional tool for all healers that can powerfully speed up patients’ or clients’ healing.
Ultimately, working with the Unconditional Model renders the external vertical power structure unnecessary, we experience personal liberation from dependence on external values and privileges, and gain increased agency and self-empowerment. Through exercises, meditations and journaling work, we learn to create an egalitarian system within our own body-mind, and through personal healing we will empathically spread healing awareness to empower others, and use awareness of power projections to help reverse trauma in others. The ultimate goal of using the Unconditional Model is to create a harmonious, egalitarian system within, which will in turn create the harmonious, egalitarian society we wish to see without.
In this weekly series, we will receive an introduction to the model, followed up with exercises, meditations and journaling to work the model on ourselves and increase self-love and acceptance, and then learn how to apply this new healing modality in personal and professional settings.

Anneke Lucas is an author, speaker, advocate for victims of child sex trafficking, founder of the nonprofit organization Liberation Prison Yoga and creator of the Unconditional Model. Her work is based on personal experience of overcoming obstacles on a 30-year journey to mental and physical health after surviving some of the worst atrocities known to humankind before the age of 12. Sold as a young child into a murderous pedophile network by her family, she was dramatically rescued after nearly six years of abuse and torture.
Her healing through psychotherapy, writing, yoga, and meditation were synthesized during a decade of service with incarcerated populations, survivors of sex trafficking, and satanic ritual abuse inside and outside of prisons. Sharing her journey shaped her message for personal and global healing through the Unconditional Model, the new modality she developed.
The Unconditional Model focuses on providers to be unconditionally present for their clients, students, or participants, by using awareness of power dynamics as an entrance point into one’s personal unresolved trauma, to create an egalitarian system within one’s own body-mind system through personal healing, and to empathically spread healing awareness to empower others. The global goal of the Unconditional Model is to render the external vertical power structure unnecessary, by each person’s liberation from dependence on external values and privileges, as ego-boosters through increased agency and self-empowerment. Anneke is currently working on a book about the Unconditional Model, represented by Sam Hyate from the Rights Factory.
