Reiki Offerings with Joanna Crespo
Reiki is one of the most in-demand healing modalities in the US and around the world….but what is it?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique based on the idea that we all have a “life force energy” that flows through us and gives us life. If this “life force energy ” becomes stagnant or blocked as the result of physical or emotional pain then we are more likely to get sick and feel stress. (reiki.org, Hopkinsmedicine.org)
Using gentle, non-invasive touch, a reiki practitioner helps to balance and clear energetic blockages to accelerate the body’s natural healing abilities, support mental and emotional healing, and create an overall sense of well-being.
So what actually happens during a reiki session?
Most commonly, a person seeks out reiki to ease pain, anxiety, depression and fatigue. During a reiki session, the practitioner will place their hands either on or over specific areas of the body to stimulate the transfer of energy and increase the body’s natural healing abilities. Sensations of tingling or heat in the body are said to indicate the release of an energy blockage. The result is a feeling of calm and relaxation.
While reiki is traditionally done in person, we can still experience the benefits of reiki while social distancing. With this type of work you do not need to be present with the healer to receive the benefits of healing. Remote or distance healing occurs when energy is sent via thought or intention and can span all space and time.
Below are some ways for you to experience the benefits of reiki (all led by Joanna Crespo):
