Discover ways to keep your brain healthy so you can live a long active life in this one-evening class. Deterioration in the brain can begin very early, even in a person’s twenties. The cortex of the brain begins to thin, neurons lose integrity, and neurotransmitter signaling becomes less efficient, for example. These changes lead to forgetfulness and a decreased ability to maintain focus and solve problems. The first signs may be slight—you forget where you put your keys or your cell phone—but if unchecked, these symptoms can lead to more serious conditions, such as dementia, and even the devastation of Alzheimer’s disease.
But brain health is a very actively researched field, and we now know that there are many lifestyle habits that can keep your brain sharp. In this workshop, we will cover which foods support the brain and how digestive health is so crucial to keep your brain young and active. We will also discuss the many researched nutritional supplements you can use to delay age-related cognitive decline.
