After a few weeks on the road, I returned to my Topanga mountain home like a weary bird returning to its nest. Often in these moments when I feel tired and open to it, I have my best meditations. It was raining gently and at this time of year it feels a bit like Hawaii here. I paused on the steps to my bedroom found a perch and began to tune myself between heaven and earth. Funny how some places offer an instant live feed. So little effort yielded an extraordinary sense of connection, my spine lit up and it felt like my cranial bones softened. I stayed here for some time and just enjoyed the unfolding of the moments in appreciation for my life.
Then I came to a part of my meditation where I open the space to all the people who ask me to hold space for them and their loved ones. I sit in the openness of my connection and invite in any and all of the people who show up for healing to get what they need between heaven and earth. As I was watching people come and go, one of my friends popped in and he looked kind of burdened – his space was brownish and he appeared slumped. As he showered in the field between heaven and earth his burdens seemed to fall away in layers and as the layers opened it felt like these were the thought forms and attitudes of all the people around him. I heard Spirit say that he is the way he is and manifest in his world through the layers of perceptions of all those people who he is related to. As these layers released and easily just fell away I saw him bristling with a silvery energy of spiritual force that was remarkable.
While I was enjoying how vibrant and clear he appeared to me I heard Spirit say again that people are the way they are in part by the way we perceive and hold them in our consciousness. I immediately began seeing all the people around my friend who were holding him in such a diminished way. They also looked brownish and limited in the energy with which they were regarding my friend. I felt like calling them and telling them to stop and change the way they were holding him and I felt myself start to lose my alignment and the same brownish energy in my own field, so I stopped thinking that and it went away and my energy returned in strength and brightness and then the energies of all the friends of my friend began to lighten up in a silvery light. I heard Spirit say that when you think thoughts of lack, not only does the person become diminished, so do you and all of your relations.
Lack thoughts are contagious and easy to engage in, it is part of our conscious evolution to see where things go off. It then can become a condition that is easily transferable. Florence Scovell Shinn wrote a book called “Your Word is Your Wand”. Sai Baba used to say that the thing you need to cleanse is your tongue. Dr. Stone said when your consciousness is under the sway of higher principles your life follows suit. I love taking responsibility for how I think and perceive the world around me – not only does it free myself and my relations, bringing healing and more truth to what becomes manifest, it feels like it is part of the evolution of my soul and the work I am to do here on the planet. Thanks for listening. May these words find their way effortlessly through you to all the places in your own life that may be thirsty for them.
