According to traditional Chinese medicine, there is a network of channels running through the body in which our life force (qi) circulates. Along these channels there are key “acupoints” that can be stimulated to help regulate and balance the body, mind and spirit.
In this class, we will first receive a brief theoretical overview of how these acu-points give us access to both the physical and emotional aspects of ourselves and then learn acupressure techniques for specific points located on the head, torso and limbs, as well as the function and potential benefits of each point. We will discover how the techniques we learn can be used to help address a wide range of symptoms and ailments, including pain, digestive problems, nasal congestion, eye strain, headaches, PMS, anxiety and depression. No previous experience necessary.
