Yin Yang: Easy Rejuvenatory Health Practices

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

A Weekly Series
(5 Sessions) Tuesdays, June 8 – July 6, 2021, 6:00 – 7:15 pm ET

When was the last time you allowed yourself to play like a child? When was the last time you allowed yourself to be truly carefree and open to pure joy and fun?

For yoga instructor Maggie Law, play reigns supreme. Her classes are creative and imaginative, moving and chanting are as common as bending and touching the toes. By encouraging a sense of playfulness, she re-awakens a child-like sense of wonder. Apart from movements aimed at balancing the energy flow through the body and profound breathing techniques, the focus is on the experience of trying something different, stretching to new limits and having fun in the process.

Maggie’s studio in New York’s Chinatown is sought after for her signature style and charismatic teaching. In this series, designed just for The Open Center community, you will learn her unique techniques and secret little tricks, incorporating various modalities, including Taoism, Chinese Medicine, Kundalini Yoga, Qigong, Reiki, even Kung Fu.

You will walk away feeling lighter, youthful and energetic. You will be equipped with a self-care tool-kit that can improve immunity, digestion, circulation, skin complexion and can offer relief from anxiety, stress, headaches, insomnia and other ailments.

This joyful view of life did not come easily to Maggie. Her teachings stem from deep transformations throughout her life, from growing up during the Chinese Cultural Revolution, to social anxiety, feelings of emptiness and low self-worth. Her struggle with serious health issues guided her to a journey of self-healing and the very techniques shared in this course, all of which helped Maggie to discover the confident, extroverted, joyful and happy person she is today.

“We all need to allow ourselves to act like kids again,” says Maggie Law. “Turn on the music, move your body, make silly faces. Why do we always have to be so serious? Let’s have some fun and open our hearts.”

Join us and open your heart, have fun, laugh and heal.

Note: This program will be offered online. Sessions of all our online programs will be recorded and shared with registrants after each is completed for 90 days.
