Nan Moss Assisted by Elaine M. Egidio
This weekend will introduce us to the core practices of shamanism, used for millennia in cultures around the world to enter non-ordinary reality to solve problems and heal. We will focus on the classic shamanic journey, the visionary method to explore hidden universes normally only glimpsed in myths and dreams; use drumming to enter shamanic states; awaken our dormant spiritual abilities; connect to the forces of nature; journey within to meet our spirit helpers; and discover a variety of shamanic divination and healing methods. Come discover how to use shamanism to help heal yourself, others, and the Earth.
Note: Originated by Michael Harner, this is the Basic workshop of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and is the prerequisite for all advanced Foundation workshops and training courses. Bring a rattle or drum if you have one, comfortable clothing, warm socks, a bandanna, a cushion and/or blanket, a grapefruit-sized rock, a pen, and a notebook.
