The workshop is a direct plunge into the ancient Sufi practice of Zikrullah. This practice of recitation of Divine Names, along with singing and dancing, is what distinguishes Sufism as a path of love and is said to be the main way to attaining union with God. We will begin with a short introduction to communal Zikr which will touch on the symbolic meaning of the different aspects of Zikr and will include the practice of chanting some of the Divine Names.
Then we will plunge into a full ceremony of Zikr with chanting, moving, singing and whirling. May you enjoy the fresh inspiration in you heart of divine ecstasy.
