Date & Time
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Join organizational innovation expert Michael J. Gelb, co-author with Raj Sisodia of the new publication, The Healing Organization: Awakening the Conscience of Business to Help Save the World, for an important book discussion and workshop. The premise is simple: When we understand and meet people’s real needs, we help to heal them, while healing ourselves, and generating abundance. Instead, when we uncover and prey on their insecurities, cravings, and addictions, we hurt them, and ultimately, we hurt ourselves, our children, and our planet.
Based on extensive in-depth interviews and inspiring case studies, the authors show how companies are healing their employees, customers, communities, and other stakeholders by incorporating the tenets of conscious capitalism into their businesses. Companies profiled include DTE Energy, FIFCO, Eileen Fisher, Hillmann Consulting, Hyatt, Jaipur Rugs, KIND Healthy Snacks, and Union Square Hospitality Group.
They represent a diverse sampling of industries and geographies, but all have significant elements in common besides being profitable enterprises: their employees love coming to work, they have passionately loyal customers, and they make a significant positive difference to the thriving communities they serve, while preserving and restoring the ecosystems in which they operate.
This is a movement whose time has come, in a world that urgently needs healing on many levels. This workshop will explore how it can be done, how it is being done already, and how you can begin to do it. Learn the tools you need to transform your business and be a part of this important movement.
