Shaykha Fariha al-Jerrahi
Learn to contact the source that dwells in our hearts through guided meditation, the recitation of divine names, and prayer, in the Sufi tradition. This workshop will discuss the role of initiation and transmission in Sufism and how these open the way for spiritual growth. Participants will come away with a taste and experience of some of the fundamental aspects of Sufism and be able to feel a subtle shift in their life perspective.
Note: A Zikr (a form of devotion, associated chiefly with Sufism, in which the worshiper is absorbed in the rhythmic repetition of the name of God or his attributes) with whirling at the end of this class.
