What do I receive when I sign up for an Open Center webinar?
Open Center webinars are live events online that typically last 2 hours and include: 90 minutes of live, interactive webinar content, and 30 minutes of question-and-answer time with the teacher. In addition, we provide 30-day access to download a recording of the complete webinar, after the event. (Free software provided to view; recording can be viewed with no time limit once it is downloaded.)
What are the system requirements for webinars?
Computer System Requirements: If you have a computer with a broadband connection, web browser, and sound capabilities (microphone and speakers or headset), you will be able to participate and engage in the question-and-answer period. If you can watch YouTube videos, you can attend the webinar. Minimum System Requirements: Windows XP (PC) or Mac OSX 10.5 or higher, and browsers version Internet Explorer 6, Firefox 3, Safari 4, and Chrome 11 or higher.
When will my password be emailed to me?
Passwords and other logon information for webinars is emailed 1 day prior to the live event, usually the evening before the event. The logon information only enables access at the time of the live event.
When and for how long can I download the recording of the webinar?
An email with instructions on how to download a recording of the webinar event will be emailed usually within 24 hours after the event. The recording stays on our server for 30 days maximum, so please download it right away when you receive the email. Playback of recordings requires special proprietary software provided by the webinar vendor (link to free software provided). Once you have downloaded the recording to your computer, you can play it as many times you want, and there is no expiration date.
