When we connect with and release our body’s Chi, or life energy, it can then flow freely through the body’s meridians, or energy pathways, promoting healing and profound feelings of ease and well-being. Meridian Touch Yoga, which is based in Chinese medicine and yin/yang philosophy, invites us to do just this.
This yoga focuses on the whole person—the body and the mind—and emphasizes inner experience rather than physical skill. Instead of worrying about whether you are doing a particular pose correctly, you can enjoy your experience of the present moment, as you move your body effortlessly in concert with the flow of Chi through the meridians according to the 5 Elements of earth, metal, water, wood and fire.
You will be guided in this deep and accessible approach by the creator of Meridian Touch Yoga, Darryl Aiken-Afam, and learn easy movements you can practice anytime. Everyone, no matter your experience, can benefit from powerful healing effects.
