Meet the Teacher: Anjie Cho
How did you become interested in this line of work? (tell us a little bit about your background)
After working in architecture for years, I had a huge epiphany during my Saturn return. I realized I was miserable and needed to change my life, incorporate more spirituality. I started studying yoga and meditation, which quickly led to me looking at how I could be more mindful with my work in the world. So, thanks to the NYOC, I took my first Feng Shui class and my life began to change. After a few years of dabbling and studying on my own, I enrolled in The Open Center’s three year BTB Feng Shui Masters Training program. Everything changed because of that program. I wouldn’t be where I am not without my Feng Shui mentors and the practice.
Please share a wellness tip or word of advice that relates to the workshop you will be presenting.
Every moment is a ceremony.
What or who inspires you? (This could be anything from your mentor to your favorite quote)
“The way to experience nowness is to realize that this very moment, this very point in your life, is always the occasion… You should regard your home as sacred, as a golden opportunity to experience nowness. Appreciating sacredness begins very simply by taking an interest in all the details of your life.” – Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, from Shambhala: the Sacred Path of the Warrior
What personal or professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I’m always amazed at the brilliance of experiences life presents to me. What stands out today is that I was featured as the “Wellness Warrior” for Health Magazine April 2021. READ HERE
