Date & Time
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
When movement comes from thinking, stress can come. When movement comes from feeling, ease comes. Using depth of feeling with movement arts, Libera can unwind habitual patterns and open new pathways, creating greater understanding of how the body’s systems work while engaged in moving freely in one’s own creative Movement Awareness Practice (MAP). The benefits of Libera practice for living in today’s challenging world are numerous: improved circulation, increased range of movement in the joints, and a sense of calm and clarity, to name a few. When our minds are cluttered with to-do lists and the solving of impossible problems, moving freely can be a splendid tool for the greater awareness of grace.
This workshop will include:
Libera: Embrace and Enliven (Friday night)
Enliven the body, heart, and soul through an invitation to explore the fun of free movement, the depth of feeling, and the celebration of life. We will be working with the Libera Movement Awareness Practice (MAP) set against a backdrop of poetry and world music.
Libera: BodyListening© and Inner Movement Research (Saturday morning)
Inner Movement Research is the art of moving freely without planning ahead, while attuning to deep awareness. Discover what unfolds from that awareness through floor-based BodyListening©, allowing for a conversation inside the body. When the spirit moves inside you, there is opening for new insight.
Libera: Creative Imagination Through Movement (Saturday afternoon)
An invitation into a world of inspiration through the body’s creative imagination as it moves through space. Music will be used as the background for emotional inspiration.
Everyone welcome—those who are well and those who are healing.
