Hoodoo is a practical folk wisdom passed down by Black American Protestants from the South. In this series, we’ll learn to apply Hoodoo rituals to strengthen our personal power and address underlying patterns that block success. We will learn to prepare fire rituals (to goal set): candle ceremonies, fire in vessels, and oil lamps; use herbs/roots to magnify intentions; draw baths for protection/balancing; and practice shamanic trancework to access our ancestors’ guidance. With these tools, participants will craft “magical workings” to cleanse spiritually, bless intentions, and learn to heal problems at work, in relationships, from emotional insecurities, and so on. We will also explore divination techniques such as: fire and ember scrying.
Note: A materials fee of $25 is to be paid to the instructor for handouts, candles, carving tools, canning jars, wicks, carrier/ essential oils, and dried botanicals.
