Many of our favorite seasonings are also herbal medicines! Basil relieves depression, ginger eases back pain, and rosemary improves memory. We’ll explore spicy herbs such as ginger, cayenne, garlic, as well as mustard and aromatics like sage, rosemary, marjoram, and thyme. We’ll discuss the health benefits of sunflower, sesame, and pumpkin seeds; and honey, vinegar and chocolate. We’ll make preparations together to illuminate why one herb is powdered and another used whole, one steeped and another boiled. This course will bring out the herbalist in you!
Note: There will be a $5 materials fee payable to the instructor at the first session.
