Date & Time
6:00 pm - 7:45 pm
Release and strengthen muscles to improve the way you move and feel. Beginning with a mind/body warm-up, this workshop introduces students to the principles of the Franklin Method. Through functional movements and the use of imagery, visualization, and touch, students will embody positive changes in pelvic posture and will improve their flexibility, breathing, and balance, while reducing tension in the lower back. This experiential workshop series is a great opportunity for students to understand how they have been using their pelvis and create change if needed. Students will move better in daily life and in exercise, while preventing unnecessary injuries and relieving aches and pains. We will also discuss cues commonly used in exercise programs that may not foster healthy pelvic function.
