Coaching for Transformation is being offered by Leadership that Works in partnership with the New York Open Center. It is the only coaching program offered in New York City that is approved by both the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the New York State Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS).

COACHING FOR TRANSFORMATION EQUITY, ACCESSIBILITY, AND SOCIAL IMPACT SCHOLARSHIP
Leadership That Works offers a limited number of partial scholarships for its coaching training, based on financial need; the potential to reach economically diverse, underserved populations; and the potential social impact of enabling more individuals to become certified professional
coaches in their communities. Up to 16 scholarships from $500–$3,500 will be awarded per 9–month training.
Eligibility requirements: Annual income of $75,000 or less, and continued enrollment in the 9–month training.

School of Holistic and Professional Learning Standards- School Policies
School Policy on Leave of Absence, Class Cuts, and Make-up Work
Students are required to attend all weeks of instruction. If a student has an emergency situation that causes the student to miss all or part of a week that student must notify the teacher as soon as possible in order to arrange a make-up session. Leaves of absence are not available.
Standards of Progress
Students will receive a pass/fail at the end of the course. This will be based on teacher evaluations and exams which will receive a numeric grade on a scale of 0 to 100.
A student who cancels within 7 days of signing the enrollment agreement but before instruction begins receives all monies returned with the exception of the nonrefundable registration fee.
After 7 days, a student will be liable for: the non-refundable registration fee, plus tuition liability as of the student’s last date of physical attendance. Tuition liability is determined by the percentage of the program offered to the student (see chart below for this program),
If a student needs to withdraw from a program and would like to request a refund, the student should contact the Registration Department Manager via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The failure of a student to notify the director in writing of withdrawal may delay refund of tuition due pursuant to Section 5002 of the Education Law.
The Coaching for Transformation Program meets for 6 weekends. The percentage of program completed indicated below is based on the 6 weekend attendance.
Credit for Previous Education
This program does not grant previous credit.

Sharon Brown is a certified professional coach who helps people achieve their professional and personal goals. Drawing on 25 years of corporate experience, she trains coaches and also teaches coaching skills in workplace, school and community settings that enhance communication and collaboration. Sharon is committed to coaching in support of social change and has developed a multicultural coaching curriculum.
Michael Wise, MPH, PCC, draws on his experiences as a queer man and cancer survivor to support clients to step into their bravery, authenticity, and resilience. With over 20 years in the nonprofit sector focusing on social justice and teen leadership development, he brings a down to earth, direct and playful approach to his coaching and training.
