Too many of us exist in an overstressed, near continuous state of “fight-or-flight,” which adversely affects our moods, sleep cycles, cardiovascular, immune, and digestive systems. In this series, we will gain a practical understanding of the physiology of stress, learn effective coping strategies that counteract an overactive sympathetic nervous system, and boost the “relaxation response.”
We’ll learn somatic signals, innovative meditation and breathing practices, and discover cognitive “thought-stopping” methods to unwind your mind, and much more. Come develop a personal toolbox to elevate your mood, decrease cortisol, and increase physical and psychological well-being. Put the solution back in your hands and embrace your birthright to be relaxed and centered without changing anything in the external world!
