Eddie Stern Eddie Stern’s new book, One Simple Thing: A New Look at the Science of Yoga and How It Can Transform Your Life, explains from both a yogic and scientific perspective how the human nervous system is wired. It describes the mechanics beneath the surface of our bodies and shows how we can consciously use yogic practices to direct and change our lives in positive ways.
Holidays! It takes a lot of effort to be cheerful when we are feeling sad, and the presence of grief roars or whispers. How will we manage our emotions? The compassionate circle is for anyone who is anxious or worried about how to move through the holiday season when feelings of loss are present.
The Art of Dying Institute, in collaboration with The Art of Dying Threshold Circle, is excited to present a film series of specially selected movies beginning in the Fall of 2019, designed to share real and fictionalized stories on the vast topics associated with end of life and death. Our debut film for this series is TO DUST starring Matthew Broderick and Géza Röhrig.

The Long Before The End Book Group is a moderated discussion gathering where members explore death as the protagonist, minor actor, or overarching plotline in contemporary fictional narratives.
How do we come back to wholeness after grief has disrupted our lives? Join author Claudia Coenen, certified grief couselor and thanatologist, as she shares her moving story of the loss of her husband, and how that inspired her to pursue an impassioned mission to support those in their grief to discover powerful practices to navigate their journey.
Join us in sacred circle and community to shake off the depths of winter’s cold, and prepare to shift our focus towards spring. Through shamanic practices and ritual, we will use the bright white light of the Full Snow Moon to illuminate the stagnant energies residing within us
