ILana Martin

In this intensive class with highly accomplished and experienced singer and voice teacher ILana Martin, we’ll discover how to develop our own unique singing style. We’ll cover how to: sing without tiring the voice; become aware of your body through breathwork; riff (improvise short rhythmic phrases); develop effective phrasing, passionate delivery and tasteful interpretation of songs; build a repertoire; sing naturally; explore melodies and syncopation; sharpen your ear; increase your vocal range; build a song from start to finish; and “own” a song. Using techniques including call and response chanting exercises that change the voice and expand its nature, our voices will soar beyond their former reach. This class will dramatically change your voice, so that it is on the way to being the best it can be, and you feel confident getting on any stage to express your own unique singing style.
