In Chinese traditional medicine, most pain and illness is attributed to blockages in the flow of qi (or chi)—internal energy—in the body. One of the methods used to restore the free flow of qi is qigong (or chi kung)—exercises that are especially designed to help us build and circulate qi. In this workshop, renowned taiji and qigong master Yang Yang will teach us a number of simple but highly effective dynamic and static qigong exercises that are especially helpful in addressing and preventing back, shoulder and neck pain; building our core strength; improving our posture; nurturing, boosting and circulating our internal energy; and producing deep states of relaxation and tranquility.
