Creative Evolution: A Physicist's Attempt to Reconcile Darwinism and Intelligent Design PDF Print E-mail

Amit Goswami is both a physicist with a deep respect for the scientific method and someone who is convinced the universe is purposeful. This evening he explains his approach to reconciling Darwinian evolutionary theory and intelligent design, an approach that he calls "creative evolution."

He will cover such topics as the origins of the universe and of life, the gaps in the fossil data seized upon by critics of Darwinian evolution, and the relevance of the ideas of the Jesuit paleontologist and philosopher Teilhard de Chardin and the mystic Sri Aurobindo regarding the future evolution of our species.
