David Anderson, MA
In this class, we will explore a method of painting taught by the highly influential Austrian philosopher, educator and spiritual teacher Rudolf Steiner, one that emphasizes the use of color as a meditative and therapeutic process to enliven, balance and inspire the artist.
We will work with the motifs of sunrise and sunset to explore the dynamics of color"”its movement, its life, its heaviness and lightness, contraction and expansion"”all dynamics which also exist within us. We will begin with basic exercises designed to help us understand the core qualities of the colors, and then proceed to work with our themes in full paintings.
Note: We will be working with watercolor on dry paper. Please bring a #16 or #18 flat watercolor brush.
Note: There will be a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor. A WEEKLY COURSE (4 sessions) Mondays, November 24-December 15, 8-10pm 08FAV10T Approved for CEUs Members: $120 / Nonmembers: $130
