The Motion of Life PDF Print E-mail

Christina deRoos

Our lives are always in motion. Sometimes the pace is quick, with whole days, months, or even years going by in a blur. Other times, our lives seem to drag along, and a day, an hour or a minute can seem an eternity. How we experience the motion of life is a result of our inner landscape and circumstances as much as, or perhaps more than, our outer surroundings.

This exhibit of photographs by Christina deRoos presents one person’s experience of the motion of life during a transition from living in New York City to living in a fishing village on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Reflected in the series are a wide range of emotions, from excitement to fear, disappointment to contentment, confusion to calm. www.christinaderoos.com   www.theorangematter.org
