Janice Clarfield
This four-day intensive is designed for yoga teachers, teachers in training and professionals who work with pregnant women (i.e., childbirth educators, doctors, doulas, massage therapists, midwives, nurses) who also have an established yoga practice. It is both for those who are already teaching pregnant students and for those who want to broaden their teaching to include this population.
This comprehensive training will give you the knowledge, understanding and techniques you need to tailor your yoga teaching to help support pregnant women to birth as consciously, naturally, actively and normally as possible. It will boost your confidence to assess specific therapeutic needs and address them safely with yoga. If you are already working with pregnant women, this course will provide a deeper appreciation and understanding of how to work holistically—integrating physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual well-being.
The course will include how: to work with women at different stages of pregnancy and experience with yoga; inspire and support women to birth from their own empowerment; understand the physiological, energetic and emotional aspects of pregnancy, labor and delivery; use posture, breath, vocal toning, relaxation, meditation, visualization and massage; work with couples for birth preparation; and manage your business effectively.
Note: Participants will receive a comprehensive study guide and will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. Yoga Alliance CEUs are available.
A FOUR-DAY TRAINING Monday–Thursday, August 11–14, 10am–5pm 08SBY12S Approved for CEUs Members: $480 / Nonmembers: $520 [CLICK TO REGISTER]
