Many of us, because of cultural intimidation or trauma learn to shut down our internal fire and settle for mediocrity and sadness in our lives. In this workshop we will ignite the Sacred Niña, our inner spark of creativity, passion and joy. Niña in Quechua, the Inca language, is the Sacred Fire that resides in the lower part of our body and is associated with creativity, vitality, life giving energy, internal power, passion, and sexual energy. Two people who engage in the act of sharing the Niña are merging the two most powerful life forces of universal energy, Tata Inti (Father Sun), and that of Pachamama (Mother Earth) in a dance of creation.
Today, using indigenous shamanic techniques we will: journey to connect with Niña’s spirit and power individually and in pairs; give offerings and sacrifices to Niña in a fire ceremony (using a candle); and use movement and dance to shake ourselves free from obstacles and integrate Niña’s power into our lives again. Come meet your Niña and rediscover how to live your life with passion.
A ONE-DAY WORKSHOP Sunday, June 8, 10–5pm 08SSH16S Members: $120 / Nonmembers: $130 [CLICK TO REGISTER]
