Ann K. Lindsay
The sea covers three quarters of our planet and makes life on Earth possible. It also offers a challenging but endlessly stimulating subject for artists as it is in constant dynamic flux. After this class you’ll be ready to take your watercolors along the next time you go to the beach and spend joyous hours capturing the power and serenity of the ocean.
Join award-winning artist, author and gifted painting teacher Ann Lindsay for this intensive workshop on interpreting the sea and shore in watercolor. Using photographs, sketches and paintings from her extensive travels and our own memories of being by the sea, we will re-create our own seaside right here in the middle of SoHo and then learn to express its beauty in watercolor. Ann will explore with us the nature of waves and their many different aspects, and demonstrate ways of portraying those magical places where sea meets land and of capturing the colors of sea, sky, sand and shore. Enrollment is limited.
Note: A materials list will be sent upon registration.
