Alisa Bhatnagar
Trained in India, Alisa Bhatnagar designed this class to provide a solid foundation to beginning students who are seeking a comprehensive introduction to authentic, traditional yoga. We will learn: classical yoga postures (asanas) that build strength and vitality and help us begin to resolve our postural, emotional and mental imbalances; the use of meditation, sound, chanting and visualization for healing and deep relaxation; and a special breathing method that profoundly refreshes the body, deeply calms the nervous system and stills the mind. Teachings of yogic philosophy will be woven throughout the class to inspire a deeper understanding of this ancient and beautiful practice.

Alisa Bhatnagar was certified as a yoga teacher in 1996 at the Vivekananda Yoga Kendra in India, where she studied yoga therapy while working in their ashram hospital. She is currently the Director of Yoga for SRI Centre and Inner Tuning® in the U.S. and Europe. |
