Eloise Monzillo, PhD, RN, QTTT
This six-week class is modeled on the renowned program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. The techniques of mindfulness meditation can be used in our everyday lives to help us achieve physical relaxation, inner peace and an enhanced ability to cope with stress. We will practice simple sitting and walking meditation, as well as breathing, “bodyscan” and stretching exercises. We will learn to focus on a moment-to-moment awareness of our body and mind, gaining direct insight into how our thoughts and emotions can trigger physical tension, stress reactions and health problems. This heightened awareness will permit us to defuse much of our tension, “re-educate” our body-mind and enjoy a dramatically less stressful life.
A WEEKLY COURSE (6 sessions) Thursdays, April 3–May 8, 6–7:45pm 08WHH03T Approved for CEUs Members: $170 / Nonmembers: $185 [CLICK TO REGISTER]
