Rodney Lopez is an accomplished and deeply knowledgeable Latin dance instructor, praised by colleagues and students alike for his entertaining and thoughtful teaching style and his ability to move a crowd and instill passion and enthusiasm.

In this class, he will teach us some of the most important elements of salsa dancing, including the "dance frame connection," the secrets of "Latin motion" and much more. His clear and precise instruction will raise our confidence and give us the ability to move with style and grace and dance joyously, without fear. Note: No dance experience is required. Leading and following open to both sexes. Enrollment is limited.

Rodney Lopez, a Latin dance instructor/director of Salsa at Dance Manhattan, performs internationally with the AddieTude Dance Company; has appeared in several documentaries, including Mad Hot Ballroom, which features his student winners of the 2004 competition; he writes extensively about salsa; and teaches Latin dance/history at the Bank Street College.
