Presented by: Tama-Do, The Academy of Sound, Color and Movement and the New York Open Center with Fabien Maman and Terres Unsoeld
Fabien Maman, one of the great modern figures in vibrational sound therapy, has done groundbreaking research on how blockages in subtle energy fields can result in physical illness if they are allowed to crystallize, and how Sound, Color and Movement® are the most effective tools we can use to dissolve these negative energetic patterns. His techniques, developed over more than three decades, draw from his experience as a musician/composer, acupuncturist, martial artist, healer/teacher and his research on the impacts of acoustic sound on human cells.
In 1988 Maman created Tama-Do ("The Way of the Soul") Academy, as the instrument for worldwide dissemination of his research, teachings and creativity. Dedicated to the evolution of human consciousness, this two-year training program offers Sound, Color, Movement and Seasonal Harmonizing Concerts® to heal body, mind and spirit. The Open Center is proud to offer, for the first time, his full Level I Professional Training Program.
Note: This full curriculum is being offered in 3 parts (containing a total of 9 courses) which can be taken in any sequence. Each class is tailored to the experience of the attending students. No previous experience is necessary; everyone is welcome. In all Tama-Do workshops, we will also learn Fabien's own form of Qi Gong-Tao Yin Fa (Movement for Health).
**EACH OF THE NINE WORKSHOPS CAN BE TAKEN INDEPENDENTLY IN ANY SEQUENCE.**
OCTOBER 20-26 (42 CEUS) Kototama: The Science of Pure Sound Kototama, the science of pure sound, can be traced back to ancient Celtic and Druidic traditions and has been transmitted secretly and orally in Japan for countless generations. Fabien Maman was initiated into this practice by his Aikido and acupuncture teacher, sensei Nakazono, in the early 1970s.
In this two-day workshop Fabien will share with us a variety of powerful Kototama practices including: precise toning techniques to rejuvenate specific internal organs; how to use your name as a mantra; and the use of sounds that correspond to the meridians, chakras and the seasons. In the second part of the workshop we will learn how to use musical instruments, elemental sounds, color and our voices to harmonize the chakras and subtle energy fields, which can radically enhance our spiritual and physical potential. Mon & Tues, October 20-21 (12 CEUs) 08FBM24TA Mbrs: $240 / Nonmbrs: $260
Healing With Color, Sound & Touch: (Tama-Do "Extra" Points (T.E.P.)) In this workshop, renowned sound and vibrational healing expert Fabien Maman and senior instructor Terres Unsoeld will teach us a unique healing method that works on three levels of the human energy system: the etheric (physical), astral (emotional) and mental. The health of the physical body depends on the vitality of all three of these "energy bodies."
This technique focuses on 21 "power points" (key healing centers of the body) using touch and chi (vital force) to work on the physical level, sound to balance the "emotional body," and color to affect the mental plane. It also trains us in the use of color filters to scan and diagnose the three "bodies." This powerful synthesis of modalities results in a balancing and revitalization of the physical, mental and emotional energies, profound clarity of consciousness, and rapid and deep transformation. Wed. & Thurs, Oct 22-23 (12 CEUs) 08FBM24TB Mbrs: $240 / Nonmbrs: $260
Shu (Tuning Forks on Acupuncture Command Points and for Diagnosis) Fabien Maman is one of the world's foremost practitioners of subtle energy healing using sound. Websters' Dictionary sites him as the founding father of vibrational sound therapy. His thirty years of research has shown that stainless steel tuning forks can be an extraordinarily effective tool in diagnosing and treating the body's vibrational imbalances. The energy transmitted by a tuning fork on an acupuncture command point travels faster than that of an acupuncture needle or the Chi of a hand, and the tuning fork's oscillations can influence the etheric counterpart of the meridians, acting on more subtle layers of the human energetic anatomy. This is a foundational workshop for healing practitioners interested in integrating the use of this remarkable tool in their work. Students will learn tuning fork and color light protocol for the twelve acupuncture command points; meridian, organ and point location; basic principles of 5 element theory and acupuncture; and basic assessment techniques to determine energetic imbalances in the organs, meridians, chakras and subtle fields. Through the application of tuning forks to specific acupuncture points, the physical, etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual levels may be accessed. This course, taught by Fabien Maman, the Master who first brought the idea of using tuning forks on acupuncture command points to America, is ideal for healing practitioners wishing to add 'cutting edge' tuning fork techniques to their healing repertoire. It is ideal for genergal balancing as well as for the treatment of specific pathologies.
Each class begins with the practice of Fabien Maman's own form of Qigong called Tao Yin Fa(r) which activates the self-healing process, regenerates the internal organs, balances meridian flow and clears and harmonizes the subtle bodies. No previous experience required. Fabien Maman and Terres Unsoeld offer specific training to meet the needs of all who attend. Everyone is welcome.
