Pim van Lommel, MD

Pim van Lommel, MD, a Dutch cardiologist with over 25 years’ clinical experience, is also a founder and past president of the International Association for Near-Death Studies in the Netherlands. He designed and was chief investigator of a renowned study on near-death experiences (NDEs) in cardiac patients in 10 Dutch hospitals between 1988 and 1998, which was published in the prestigious medical journal The Lancet and generated worldwide interest.
