Neil Theise, MD, is professor of pathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he studies new stem cell lineages in adult humans—a revolutionary discovery in regenerative medicine and biology. He recently made some of the first discoveries of the connections between the nervous system and niches in the body where stem cells are activated in adults.
