Wade Davis, PhD, Explorer-in-Residence at National Geographic, is an anthropologist, ethno-botanist, environmentalist, indigenous rights advocate and best-selling author whose books include: The Serpent and the Rainbow and Light at the Edge of the World. Davis is a board member of many NGOs dedicated to conservation-based development and the protection of cultural and biological diversity.
