Rick Moody is an award-winning writer, author of the novels Garden State, The Ice Storm (made into a noted film), Purple America, and The Diviners, collections of short fiction, including Demonology, and the memoir The Black Veil: A Memoir with Digressions. Moody is Secretary of the PEN American Center, and has taught writing at several universities.
