William Loren Katz, MA, is an illustrious author, historian and educator, best known for his 40 history books, including such classics as Black Indians, The Black West and Black Women of the Old West. A frequent guest on  prominent radio and TV programs, he has also been a consultant to the Smithsonian Institute and a committee of the US Senate and has served as a scholar in residence at Teachers College at Columbia and at NYU.
