Wednesday, July 11 2007, 8:00pm - 9:30pm

Elaine Egidio, MCAT, ADTR, LPC

Shamans are the keepers of a remarkable body of ancient techniques used for healing and for the attainment of spiritual insight, dating back well into prehistory. It is our oldest known form of spirituality and is deeply encoded in our cultural DNA. In this six-week course focused on beginning shamanic skills, we will be exploring how to connect with and develop relationships with compassionate helping spirits by accessing "non-ordinary" reality. We will also learn the basic cosmology and language of shamanism, its core beliefs and ceremonies, healing techniques and approaches to gaining spiritual knowledge and deepening the human connection to the web of all life. We will leave this class ready to begin integrating this rich and potent spiritual tradition into our daily lives. This class is both for beginners and for those who want to refresh and deepen their practice.
