The Underpinnings of Effective Feng Shui

The energetic “cleansing” or “clearing” of a site before building a structure or engaging in an important activity is an ancient ritual practiced in every culture. For Feng Shui practitioners, it is considered to be a crucial first step of their work. In this workshop we will learn how to perform specific techniques, rituals, blessings and chants from a variety of traditions to cleanse, consecrate and empower environments so they can be effective containers for our lives, and to create the underlying conditions that will permit further feng shui adjustments to work most effectively. The material covered will include: the role of ritual in feng shui; the importance of intention; learning and using the Buddhist ‘Heart Calming Mantra’ to start rituals; “clearing” a space with smoke, dowsing and sound; the use and construction of altars and flower offerings; and more.
