An Introduction to the Zohar
In this class we will immerse ourselves in the mystical teachings of Kabbalah through the study of its deeply textured masterpiece-- the Zohar. We'll explore some of the fundamental questions of Kabbalah, such as the nature of God and the purpose of life, as well as explore its background and history. We'll also let the Zohar guide us in its own mysterious, enlightening ways, and seek to experience how it invites us to read the symbols of our lives, the interplay of masculine and feminine, hidden and revealed, unity and multiplicity, to deeply enrich the way our consciousness interacts with the fundamental energies and structures of existence.
Note: This course can be a good introduction to Kabbalah for beginners, or serve as an invaluable "next step" for intermediate students.
