Sacred Geometry, used by the ancients in classical architecture, is a universal framework through which the spiritual manifests into the material, and also deals with perception and definition of space. In this class we will explore how to apply the principles of sacred geometry and the "golden mean" to our own work on canvas by learning the technique of placement and discover how to: hold a pencil or brush and position our body in reference to the canvas in order to produce our best work; understand line contours; find light and shadow to define shapes; learn how to organize a painting with a basic sketch; manage different shapes and proportions; and finally choose a subject and paint.
