Many cultures acknowledge the presence of spiritual guides and ancestral beings who guide, protect, and support the living. Developing a relationship with such invisible teachers can help us understand our soul’s purpose and make better decisions. In this class, which draws on the Puerto Rican tradition of Espiritismo and modern psychology, we will learn how to use prayers, meditations, rituals, altar-building, discussion and written exercises to receive guidance from our personal spiritual allies to leave behind our fear, confusion, victimhood, superstition and negative thoughts and behaviors that can keep us from moving forward.
