<p>For over a decade Carmen Herrera has been sharing with hundreds of people in the U.S. and abroad her unique Dashimo™ (“Dance A Self Healing Innate Movement”) technique, which combines relaxation and breathing techniques, visualizations and chakra balancing with liberating Latin dance to create a joyous, healing and empowering holistic workout and avenue of self expression. <p>Wu Tao (The Dancing Way) is a dance-based practice rooted in traditional Asian medical principles that is designed to harmonize the flow of qi (life-force energy) in the body. Easy to learn at any age, each of the five Wu Tao dance routines activates and stretches specific meridians (energy channels) related to specific organs of the body and to one of the five elements of Chinese cosmology (earth, water, etc.), thereby balancing all our body’s main systems (nervous, digestive, etc.). The dances, performed to melodic music that resonates with the specific qualities of an element, help us experience beauty, harmony and balance, physically, energetically and mentally. They still the mind, tone the body, and gently stretch every muscle and joint. Wu Tao is wonderful stress management system and ideal exercise for people who love to dance.</p>

<p>Bollywood, one of the hottest current dance styles around the world, is the basis of nearly every Indian film. It emphasizes strong fundamental moves and choreography rooted in traditional, folk and classical Indian dance styles and now integrates the high energy beats of world music.. It will keep you moving and you will want to dance nonstop. Bollywood dance not only improves coordination, stamina and overall health, but naturally uplifts our spirit and takes us to new levels of confidence and agility. You will learn timing, rhythm, and expression movements used to help us tell the story behind the music. Come discover this fun and powerful form of dance that combines the best of the ancient and modern worlds, and dance away your stress to a great workout.</p>
<p><em>Note: Each class will include a warm-up and cool-down. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and non-slip footwear (such as lightweight athletic shoes); wear two layers so that one can be removed if you get too hot; tie long hair back; don’t eat at least 45 minutes before class; and bring water. </em><em></em></p>

It emphasizes strong fundamental moves and choreography rooted in traditional, folk and classical Indian dance styles and now integrates the high energy beats of world music.. It will keep you moving and you will want to dance nonstop. Bollywood dance not only improves coordination, stamina and overall health, but naturally uplifts our spirit and takes us to new levels of confidence and agility. You will learn timing, rhythm, and expression movements used to help us tell the story behind the music. Come discover this fun and powerful form of dance that combines the best of the ancient and modern worlds, and dance away your stress to a great workout.</p>
<p><em>Note: Each class will include a warm-up and cool-down. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and non-slip footwear (such as lightweight athletic shoes); wear two layers so that one can be removed if you get too hot; tie long hair back; don’t eat at least 45 minutes before class; and bring water.</em></p>
